Nevis Range.jpg

Finally got round to the last of the three peaks. This pick is a bit of a cheat. Not the top of Ben Nevis exactly but one of the other peaks in the range. Far too cloudy up top to get a good picture.

dunwich dynamo.jpg

I cycled my first Duncwich Dynamo last weekend. Described as being 'London's greatest mass participation ride - bar none' and I'm inclined to agree.

We made pretty good time. Set off from London Fields at about 8.50 p.m and got to the beach for breakfast at 5.30 a.m. It was great fun despite the long wait for the coach home! Thanks to the folks at Southwark Cycles for organizing a great event. Definitely up for next years.

I'm not doing too bad for holidays this year. More walking than cycling this time. This pic is from very near the top of Scafell Pike. Only Ben Nevis to go now!

I was lucky enough to get to stay for a week over on the Sardinian Island of La Maddalena. A 'proper' Summer holiday for a change, lots of swimming in the warm sea, nice food and sunshine... my sun tan didn't last long mind!

I get to work on the cover for the the Economist newspaper on the odd occasion. This was a concept to cover the story of the recent BP oil tragedy. Unfortunately it was dropped in favor of photo of Obama at the scene of the spill due to a title change. I don't have a copy of the final cover. Check out some of the other covers I've worked on here.

Between projects I've been messing around in photoshop. Working on my digital painting techniques. This a matte painting of sorts made from comped images and hand painted textures. Will post some more as and when I get round to it.

Looks a bit too small here, hard to see all the details. Will post up a bigger one at some point.

Old news but I thought I'd post it anyway. Visited the Lake District for a week in November with the intent of doing a bit of cycling. The weather was wet the whole time we were there but still managed to get a few days out on the trails.

Thursday the weather was so bad we didn't even make it out of the house. It turned out to be some of the worst floods ever! This pic is of the river Cocker just near Lorton which is between Keswick and Cockermouth. Doesn't really get across he scale of the flood or how fast the water was moving but the river must have been at least five times its normal size.

My friend Pete and his business partner Jerzy have just opened their first bike shop. Its smack bang in the middle of London Town so if your ever need your bike fixing or bike related bits and bobs then this is the place to go. These guys really know their onions and they are super helpful too.

Check out the website for more info: London Bicycle Workshop.

Just back from a week in Wales. Lots of cycling and walking... mainly up hill! This pic was taken halfway up Snowdon.

Not getting through this alphabet as quickly as I'd hoped. Been too busy doing other bits and bobs.

To kick start my creative juices I've set my self a challenge to illustrate the letters of the alphabet. Sometimes I need a simple impetus to get me going and its not very original one I know but good for the drawing muscles none the less.

I'm up to the letter G already! ...only another 20 to go! Check out the Illustration section and click on the letters to see the pics.

At last a bit of a site revision and a load of new illustration work for you to take a peek at. Tag cloud and RSS (you never know) and I've enabled comments on the news feed. Feedback is always appreciated :)

Ok you don't need me to tell you about how good iPhones are enough allready, but those clever bods over at Movable Type have developed a MT plugin for the iPhone, and very neat it is too I can now update my site using my phone. Technology eh?! Marvelous.
